Suggested Locations to stay

The island of Corfu is big- 3.5 hours from North to South. To make things easier on yourself, you might choose to stay relatively close to the venue.

old Corfu town

The only city on the island, home to 50% of the island’s population. The city was built by the Venetians in the 13th century and the Old Town is well preserved and reminiscent of many old Italian towns.

• 30 minutes from the venue
• If you stay in Corfu town, there can be some traffic getting in and out of the city. Give yourself an extra 15 minutes when traveling to and from.

Benitses

• 10-15 minutes from the venue
• Fishing village on the beach with several restaurants and shops. Filled with tourists and beach-goers. Moderate and budget hotel options.

Mesongi

• 30 minutes from venue, south of Benitses

West side of the island

Note that if you stay here, you have to be careful crossing steep mountains with narrow roads to get to the east side of the island.

• Amazing hikes and outlooks, more secluded than the east side
• Coastal towns close include: Agios Gordios, Paramona, Kontogialos

Airbnbs

There are many Airbnb options in the immediate area of the wedding venue. If you’re looking for a mid to lower cost option, an Airbnb may be a good idea rather than a lower priced hotel. This may also be cheaper if you are traveling with a group.

• Please note, if you are going to choose an Airbnb option, you might need to prepare for getting around the island using a rental car, taxis or Uber- note that the roads are narrow and locals drive aggressively, particularly on their scooters.
